Amy began her professional career as a frontline worker, delivering critical support and services to at risk youths. Her dedication to making a positive difference in the community has driven her to take on increasingly significant positions within the organization. Amy's commitment to the community has resulted in the creation of the Barrington Care and Recovery Centre, a pioneering program that provides comprehensive services to the community. This effort, based on the belief that healthy communities support healthy families, which improves the health of youth, exemplifies her creative approach to community health and well-being.

Amy has a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma in Child and Youth Care, which support her extensive knowledge of youth development and education. Her considerable experience and educational background enable her to effectively design and administer programs that address the unique difficulties confronting young people and their support networks in Shelburne County. Aside from her work obligations, Amy is actively involved in a variety of community programs and enjoys mentoring emerging professionals in her area. Her commitment to service and community is seen in every part of her career.

Shelburne County Youth Health and Support Association is managed by a board of directors to ensure our policies, procedures and operation meets the needs of youth, employees and the community. The board is an essential part of maintaining fairness and equity in our work. It is composed of local community members that volunteer their time and skills.
